Troop 711 would like to open up this opportunity to other Troops in the District. We are excited to announce that we are starting plans to host award opportunities for the two Catholic Boy Scouting awards:
Ad Altari Dei - For 7-9th graders - This program focuses on the seven sacraments.
Pope Pius XII - For 10-12th graders - This is a discussion based program which focuses on how to live as a devout Catholic.
Please let (PTNemec@att.net) know if you are interested in either of these award opportunities.
At Texas Powder Horn, you "learn by doing" with expert Scouters and consultants who guide you first-hand through a sampling of amazing outdoor activities. Co-sponsored by Capitol Area and Longhorn Councils, this year's planned programming includes mountain biking, paddle boarding, rappelling, fly fishing, shooting sports, snorkeling, caving, and so much more! Powder horn is five full days over two weekends, September 9-11 and September 23-25, and it's held at Camp Tahuaya, near Belton. Both adults and youth ages 14 and over are eligible to attend. Re-energize or re-start your unit with a wealth of new outdoor adventure ideas and resources - it's "fun with a purpose!"

Unit Commissioners (Helping existing leaders in Packs and Troops deliver quality program plan annually...this is typically an ideal job for seasoned scouters that don't currently have a unit they are working with as a leader)
Donors - We have a goal of raising $50,000 this year for Friends of Scouting here in the Capitol Area Council...this is the fund that pays for everything from regular camp upkeep, ranger staff, membership materials, printing, staff, keeping the lights on at the Fickett Center, etc...
Can you help support our Friends of Scouting Campaign?
Thank you!
